DUTIES

  1. Provides a range of Federal Civilian Human Resources (HR) services in one or more of the following functional specialties; classification, recruitment and placement, employee relations, labor relations, benefits, and HR processing/quality control.
  2. Applies fundamental Federal Civilian HR management methods, principles, and practices of assigned specializations and standardized analytical and evaluative methods and techniques and applies specific Federal Civilian HR rules, regulations, or procedures to independently complete assignments.
  3. Assists in providing continuing technical advice and assistance to personnel and management for assigned organizations in resolution of Federal Civilian staffing issues.
  4. Assists in providing input to serviced organizations for short and long range analysis of Federal Civilian personnel staffing requirements and resources.
  5. Processes all types of Federal Civilian personnel actions, coordinating actions with personnel and management to resolve issues.

  3. PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

GS-05: Three years of general experience with at least one year of which was equivalent to performing work at the GS-4 level or equivalent pay systems which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples are: Ability to plan and organize work and communicate effectively orally and in writing. 

GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level or equivalent pay systems which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples: Analyze, develop and evaluate issues and develop recommendations to resolve issues of efficiency of work operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):  Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.  You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE:  Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.  You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.  It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
